These terms are an agreement between you and MAGMAS. By creating an account or using the platform, you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use MAGMAS.

MAGMAS is a skills-verification platform. It provides:
What MAGMAS does not do. We do not employ you, guarantee you employment, guarantee interviews, or make hiring decisions. We produce evidence. Employers decide.
You must be 18 or over to use MAGMAS.
You agree to give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date, keep your password secure and not share your account, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has accessed it. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
Simulations are recorded. When you take part in a voice simulation, the call is recorded and transcribed. Where you select the video option, video is recorded too. You are told this before each simulation begins.
You choose what to keep. Afterwards you can save the recording to your Competency Passport, download it, discard it, or try again. Only what you save is assessed. Discarded simulations are not saved, not assessed, and not shown to anyone.
You may repeat simulations. There is currently no limit on attempts. We may introduce limits in future, and will tell you before we do.
Assessment. Simulations are assessed by AI against published behaviour rules shown to you before you take part. Assessment records what you demonstrably did; it does not score or rank you. Our Privacy Policy explains the process in full.
Assessment is not infallible. We use multiple independent readings and a verification step to make results reliable, but no automated assessment is perfect. If you think a finding is wrong, tell us and we will review it. You can hide or delete any entry from your Competency Passport at any time.
You own what you create. Your recordings, uploads, written submissions and profile remain yours.
You give us permission to use it to run the service. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, transcribe, assess and display your content for the purpose of providing MAGMAS to you. This licence exists so we can operate the platform, and it ends when you delete the content or your account.
We will not use your content to train AI models, sell it, use it in marketing without asking you first, or show it to anyone beyond what these terms describe.
What you upload must be yours to upload. Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's rights.
Your Competency Passport shows the skills you have verified, quoted from your own performance, with the recordings behind them.
You control what it shows. Nothing appears until you save it there, and you can hide or remove any entry at any time.
Who can see it. Recruiters using MAGMAS can view Competency Passports and hear the recordings. If you share your Passport link outside MAGMAS, anyone with that link can view it โ including people you did not intend to share it with. Treat the link accordingly.
What it is not. A Competency Passport is a record of demonstrated behaviour in simulated situations. It is not a qualification, a certification, a reference, or a guarantee of ability in any particular job.
You must not:
If you breach these terms we may suspend or close your account. Where the breach is not serious we will normally warn you first and give you a chance to put it right.
If you use MAGMAS as a recruiter, you additionally agree:
MAGMAS is currently free for candidates. We may introduce paid features in future. If we do, we will tell you clearly before any charge applies, and features you currently use for free will not become chargeable without notice.
We aim to keep MAGMAS available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may carry out maintenance, change or remove features, or suspend the service where necessary. Where a change materially affects you, we will give reasonable notice.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that: we provide MAGMAS with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We are not liable for hiring outcomes, employment decisions, or anything an employer does or does not do. We are not liable for the accuracy of third-party job listings shown on the platform. We are not liable for loss you could not reasonably have expected when you started using MAGMAS.
You can leave at any time. Delete your account from your profile page, and we will delete your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may close your account if you seriously breach these terms, if required by law, or if we stop operating the service. Except where you have seriously breached these terms or the law requires otherwise, we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to download your data.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will tell you by email or through the platform before it takes effect, and you can close your account if you do not accept it. The date at the top shows when this version was published.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we do not lose the right to enforce it later. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about your use of MAGMAS.
